  1. What is Art?

Arts is term which creators, artists, and other designers’ field in work. Like mountains to climbers; and oceans to fishes. The most influential element in the premovement of civilization. For instance, human paints on the wall to record history, to prove the reality of existence. Human evolutes into higher and cleverer levels whilst judging our ancestors’ previous lives, and, on the other hand, it is the navigation for the human race, which leads skills into various parts, such as religions, educations, and others…etc.

Living with Arts in my life brings lots of changing on the point of view how I interpret things. For example, I sometimes wonder the reason why paintings or drawings are colored in differently? Is it the items on the canvas bring up the preciosity, or, perhaps the usages and the mixtures of hues make the picture become vivid? But still, there is various answers into different perspectives.

  1. What is Design?

The Design is the component of an Arts, which combines within different parts. For instance, as a vehicle, we have wheels, doors, engines, and classes…etc., each part of a car is a design from a single or a group of designers and engineers. As a matter of fact, we reshape the original appearances from those items, and build up the result as we want it to be. Making a hood or a door from steels and aluminums, we made it to resist water, wind, and protect people in car. In different types and trims, coinciding with different designs.

Design also reflects a man/woman in his/her ability of creativities. It can be someone’s inner sustenance on his/her mind, as I see in the fine arts. The moment the creators want to deliver something, or some believes, and they add into their works. For instance, in some modern building, the architectures prone on creating its designs without squared walls, or traditional layers. Instead, they put more attractive curves and unique pillars to construct and bring out the ideology in a modern world – freedom.

  1. What is Craft?

Craft is the decision and the determined mind of a person who wants to put his/her effort in his/her arts. Following up to the example of a design of a vehicle, the trims of a vehicle can be simple, but if you put more element of craft on it, such as sewing thread, the perception and the feeling of it design can be seen as an ascent of act.

I see crafts as a dedication of time and creation onto an item, not because of the luxurious using of things or the splendid colors of painting, but the details which I should have to carry when I am facing my life. Being precautious and carefully, I can see more people’s actions on how their attitudes are. For instance, while being with friends, I like to see how a person’s talking path and the conversation between others to see how this person can be related to me. Probably, he/she will just be someone I know, but the others might be friends with deep connects.

In the end, Craft is the aim and the effort for an artist to pursue for a work or a result, and this attitude does affect me to live in my environment and the society which I am adapting into.

                                                            ARTIST/PHILOSOPHY

Art has been an outlet and means of expression for me for so long that its purpose hasn’t changed but the level of satisfaction it brings has. When I was younger and still exploring my different artistic interests, the approval and reaction that came from my creation or performance meant everything to me. So much that often if I weren’t satisfied with a reaction I would trash pieces that I’d spent hours on. I never wanted to pursue a career in art because of the often used term “starving Artist”, I never wanted to struggle or go through the sacrifice phase that a lot of artist often have to endure until reaching a comfortable level of success and consistency. It’s really unfortunate that life’s obligations can take one away from their passions, so often replaced with career choices, maybe family or lack of resources to support their ultimate pursuit of happiness. I’ve always felt like the rule on time doesn’t apply to me as far as opportunity having a limited window. My passion to create has not dimmed much it just doesn’t require as much approval or appreciation as it used to. Although I know it’s selfish to keep to myself, I still often don’t share my art with many because the average person has a short or limited value for Art in general unless it has a personal connective value to it.
